Chinese medicine recipes for children with pneumonia

Because children are fragile at birth and their organs are not fully developed, parents are afraid to give them medicine after they are diagnosed with pneumonia, fearing that too much medicine will harm them. So, after children are diagnosed with this disease, can parents use Chinese medicine to treat the disease?

Traditional Chinese medicine should treat pediatric pneumonia with symptomatic medication. Please see below for details:

Wind-cold blocks the lungs: fever without sweating, choking cough and shortness of breath, white and thin sputum or foamy sputum, no thirst, thin white or greasy tongue coating, pale or light red tongue, floating and tight pulse, blue and red fingerprints at the wind gate.

Wind-heat attacks the lungs: fever, sweating, thirst, cough with sticky or yellow sputum, shortness of breath and flaring nose, red face, lips and throat, purple fingerprints mostly at the Qi Guan point, and a floating and slippery pulse.

Treatment: Spicy and cool to relieve the exterior symptoms, good for the lungs and resolve phlegm

Phlegm-heat blocking the lungs: high fever, cough and wheezing, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath and flaring nose, cyanotic lips and lips, flushed face and thirst, gurgling phlegm in the throat, sound like pulling a saw, chest tightness and fullness, spitting of phlegm, red tongue with yellow coating, wiry and slippery pulse, and purple fingerprints at the Qiguan point.

Yin deficiency and lung heat: hot flashes and night sweats, red cheeks and lips, dry cough without sputum or sticky sputum that is difficult to spit out, tender red tongue with a light and peeled tongue coating with little fluid, thin and weak pulse, and dark purple fingerprints.

If your child is suffering from pediatric pneumonia, parents should pay more attention to their own methods during the treatment of the child, closely observe the child's physical changes, ensure indoor air circulation, adjust the child's daily diet, and ensure that the child has enough water needed by the body. Only in this way can scientific care methods be used to speed up the patient's recovery.
