Diet therapy for diarrhea syndrome in children

Diet therapy for diarrhea syndrome in children

Diarrhea in children is a very common symptom. Many children like to eat some messy things at ordinary times. In addition, children have poor resistance and gastrointestinal digestion ability, so children are prone to diarrhea, especially in the hot summer. So, what measures should we take in this situation?

1. Food to stop diarrhea

1. Scorched rice soup:

The method of making scorched rice soup is to grind rice flour or milk cake into powder, fry until the color turns yellow, then add appropriate amount of water and sugar, and then burn it into a paste. After adding water to the rice flour and heating it, it becomes dextrin. This kind of dextrin is very easy to digest, and its carbonized structure has a good adsorption and antidiarrheal effect, which is suitable for babies with diarrhea.

2. Carrot soup:

Carrots are alkaline foods. The pectin they contain can promote stool formation and absorb bacteria and toxins on the intestinal mucosa. They are a very good antidiarrheal food. The method of making carrot soup is to wash the carrots, cut them in half, remove the stems, cut them into small pieces, add water and boil them until they are soft, then filter out the residue with gauze, and finally add water (500 grams of carrots to 1000 grams of water) and sugar and boil them before giving them to your baby.

2. Adjust your diet

If a breastfed child has diarrhea, do not stop breastfeeding easily. At this time, you can shorten the time of each feeding and let the child eat the first half of the milk, because the first half of the breast milk mainly contains substances such as protein, which is easier to absorb. The second half of the breast milk mainly contains substances such as fat, which is difficult for the baby to digest, so this part of the milk can be squeezed out and thrown away. If the child is fed with milk, it is not appropriate to feed whole milk at this time, but skim milk should be fed to the baby.

In addition, mothers can make skim milk at home. After the milk is boiled and cooled, use chopsticks to pick up the layer of milk skin on the surface and throw it away. Repeat this three times and the whole milk will become skim milk. However, it is not advisable to feed skim milk to the baby after the diarrhea improves, so as to avoid malnutrition.

The following are some effective measures that mothers can take in time when their baby has diarrhea. These methods can effectively treat pediatric diarrhea in a very short time and protect the child's health. Parents should not panic when their baby has diarrhea. They should give effective treatment in time, otherwise it will be bad for the child's stomach and digestive system over time.
